The new 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup combines a 4x4 independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering. And this year choose from a long or short wheelbase on all 1500 Dodge Ram Trucks. The short wheelbase is a 6'3" box, the long wheelbase is an 8 foot box.

Due to the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup's large 4 wheel disc brakes the truck stopped on a dime even with a trailer.
